6. Moc Chau trip
Hey, I'm back... after a rather long time.
I just had a fun trip to Moc Chau with my high school friends. We hadn't seen each other in a long.
It was a 2-day-1-night tour with a lot of memories.
Firstly, Moc Chau is a big plateau in Son La province. It is well-known for poetic landscapes with endless grass fields, huge gardens of plum, apricot trees, various flowers, immense tea plantations and large herds of milk cows. The distance between Hanoi and Moc Chau is 190km, so it often takes about 5-6 hours to get there by coach. We started from high school at 6 o'clock in the morning and reached homestay by 11.30 a.m. Subsequently, we lunched at a nearby restaurant.
We took a short rest after that. In the afternoon, we visited the Bat Cave Son Moc Huong. We had to climb many stairs to reach the cave entrance. Son Moc Huong was formerly home to colonies of bats but now most of them have moved to other places. In the Vietnam war, the Bat Cave was also a revolutionary base where hid military weapons. At present, on the cliffs of the cave is still the signature of the soldiers recorded, marking the period of history here.
The interior architecture of the cave is very nice. On the cupola of the cave, there are many small rocky holes which teem with bats. There are many stone blocks of all shapes that evoke many associations with the shapes, objects and the people here are associated with many legends of humanity.
And then we returned homestay and prepared dinner. Behind the house, there is a stream and we amuse ourselves over there.
The most memorable moment is when we barbecue outdoors together.
Making barbecue takes a lot of work and preparation. All the members of my group joined together to help make the barbecue. Each person had a job. One chopped the corn off. Another spread the butter on the bread. Some turned the meat over while the others lighted a fire. After we had eaten, it was time to chat, we stayed up all night to confide to each other. We really saw eye to eye. That was a time in our life we never forget.
The weather did not support us. The next day was a rainy day so we couldn't visit other sites as planned. But it doesn't matter. The important thing is we being together.
I'm really happy, I want to stay lost in this moment forever, I love my friends.
